I knew within five minutes of meeting Caroline and Ollie that their wedding was going to be a beautiful and fun affair, full of personality and unique touches. I mean with talk of ghostbusters, floral headpieces and Charlotte Olympia kitty flats, how could it not be? The couple are super creative (Ollie made mini proton pack buttonholes!) and down to earth, and aside from providing me with a colour palette of peach, pale blue, ivory and green, pretty much left me to it. Dream.
I featured David Austin Juliette roses, scented O’hara roses and Jana spray roses, alongside curly sweetpeas, delphinium, nigella, astilbe, stocks and Solomon’s seal. Several varieties of eucalyptus added to the abundant, natural look they wanted.
I created two of my favourite decor pieces to design for Shustoke Farm Barns – a garland for the Juliette balcony in the entrance area and a huge suspended wreath in the centre of the main barn. I was super happy with how they turned out and more importantly, so were Caroline and Ollie. I designed lush hand-tied posies in vases for the tables, and Caroline styled their sweetheart table beautifully with lovely personal touches. Testimonial from Ollie: “I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful flowers for our wedding. The flowers on the chandelier and the balcony were stunning. Also you did a great job incorporating them on the proton pack buttonholes – they looked amazing. You made Caroline’s dreams come true and I can’t thank you enough.”
