As you’ve probably guessed by now, we work at Shustoke very often. Yet far from being tired of the venue, we love returning to the scene of our own nuptials and seeing how each couple styles it up differently for their own special day.
Sadie and Rob booked us to flower their wedding day way back in 2014, when Bloom Fleuriste was a fledgling business and I was immensely grateful for couples willing to take a chance on a passionate newbie florist. Fast forward two years and I was excited to finally make their flowery dreams reality. Scroll on down to see their gorgeous day through the wonderful lens of Lee Garland.
Sadie is a self-confessed sucker for succulents so from the outset we knew they would make up a large part of their wedding florals. I featured them in Sadie’s bouquet, and potted up heaps in glass and copper votives to make up tablescapes alongside jars of hand-tied posies and single stems in vintage apothecary bottles.
Garden roses were another key ingredient (pink O’Hara and Mansfield Park), alongside astrantia, astilbe, waxflower and several different varieties of eucalyptus. Sadie also loves white hydrangea and gypsophila, so we choose to feature these in the bridesmaid’s bouquets and three huge flower balls suspended from the wooden beams in Shustoke. Stunning. The gents buttonholes featured spray roses, eucaluptus and waxflower.
It was a real treat to flower for this lovely couple. Don’t they both look gorgeous? Congratulations guys!
